adding equipment 2

have misc 6.1 t1,w 6 port combo card,4 0x16 mod,2 12x0 mod.
no more ports on 6 port combo card,would like to add 2 more
sta mod.do i need to change software to xc 6.1 and can i at that point add another 6 port expansion card.or can i just add another 6 port expansion card into another slot with the software i am using now if so what slot.

As soon as you use the 2nd expansion slot, the software must be upgraded to XC

You must change to XC software

also must do software first then install 6 port exp card then you wont see module until there is a phone plugged in to port
