adding desktop shortcut to quick launch toolbar 2

I used to have a show my desktop icon in my quick launch toolbar, but this is somehow not there anymore.

I tried to create a new shortcut to my desktop, then drag it to the quick launch toolbar, but this shows my desktop in a windows explorer window rather than just showing my desktop.

Does anyone know how to restore this to my toolbar?

1. Copy and paste the following lines into a Notepad file:

[Shell]
Command=2
IconFile=explorer.exe,3
[Taskbar]
Command=ToggleDesktop

2. Save the file to the Desktop as 'Show Desktop.scf'. Next, right-click on the file you just created and drag it down to the 'Quick Launch' toolbar and release.

3. Choose 'Move here' from the context menu that appears.

That's it!

Note: If, at step 3 above, you left-click on the file you created and drag it down to the 'Quick Launch' toolbar and release then you have to do the following as well:

1. Right-click on the new shortcut in the 'Quick Launch' toolbar and rename it from 'Shortcut to Show Desktop' to 'Show Desktop'.

2. Delete the 'Show Desktop' shortcut that remains on the desktop.
