I'm sure this has been addressed, but my search didn't turn anything up.
Can an OU container (and therefore all objects in that container) be added to an Exchange Global Distribution Group? I couldn't find a way.
My organization is a school and I have been struggling with a way to keep parent email addresses organized and up-to-date. One of the many things that need to happen is that every parent Contact object needs to be a member of several distribution lists, depending upon school and grade. Each school (lower, middle, upper) is currently its own OU container and each grade is a "child" OU to the school OU.
(I'm sure there is an easier, less complicated way to organize this, but I inherited this structure. Any comments on how to make this simpler would also be appreciated.)
How can I go about automatically adding a Contact to a Global Distribution Group based on the container that Contact resides in?
