I have a column I need to add. It is B2 thru B34
What do I do to make B35 the total of all the cells. I know this is easy but have not done it in a long time.

I made a post yesterday for this and was not able to get to the post to see the replies.

SheepDog,

If you have a FIXED range, you're OK. But if the rows to sum will increase, I'd suggest something else...
[tt]
=SUM(B2:B34)

I tried putting SUM(B2:B34) in the formula bar at the top and all this did was put the formula SUM(B2:B34)in cell
B35 instead of a total of all the cells above.
Was it that I did not put = in front like this =SUM(B2:B34)?

I just did a test and put five cells with numbers in them.
The sixth cell I put your formula and it did not work at all.

I thought some how you were supposed to highlight the cells and do something to have them add up?
