I had put in a question before but I am a little confused about a few things. When I looked at the book for LD 97 and I can only change the SUPL. When I insert the card will the switch automatically recognize the new network card?

No, merely putting the card in the slot will not cause the PBX to recognize the superloop card. You must define it in LD 97 along with the XPE it will use.

When looking in the book all you can do is Chg it, how do I initially program the SUPL so I can modify it in LD 97

ld 97
prt
xpe.. that will give you the list of used xpe's

then
chg xpe
xx (for a new xpe)

chg
supl
xx (new card loc)
loc (des)
then you need to tell the switch left or right, depending on which side of the dual slot you plan to use

other then that the next 2 prompts are default...

Does the SUPL need to be programmed before it is completely connected.

no you can do either end 1st, the hardware or the software. it will not work until both are done.. the problem with printing the cequ is that you may have loops 4, 20 24 etc, that does not show if you have shelf 4 0, 4 1 or 24 1.. just the loops.. for that information, go to 97 and print supl or xpe.. they show a unique entry for each of the shelves
