Hey again-

So to add a cabinet to an existing 11C that is fiber enabled

It currently has 2 cabinets in service (one which also houses voicemail - Call Pilot)

I believe I need:
1 Cabinet
1 dual port fiber expansion card
1 fiber cable

is that it? aside from any line cards/peripherals?

no AC power cards or other cabinet items needed to power up and use this cabinet?

any pitfalls, lessons learned, tips, etc aside from backing up the system and flipping off the circuit breakers before i connect this equipment?

THANKS!

New Cabinet needs a power cord just like the main Cabinet and Cabinet needs a power supply.

The only othe thing is software (Keycodes) for upgrade and Common Equipment Change to reflect the additonal Cab.

Fibr Board connections and adding the Common Equipment in configuration are a bit confusing though.

Cheers!!

I've added 2 cabinets and I didn't need a keycode and Config was automatic. I just added cards and programmed them.

all you need is expansion cabinet, power supply for the expansion cab, fiber reciever card, fiber cable and dual/signle fiber duaghterboard.
