Adding 6 Port Exp Cart

One of our offices has a Norstar w/4.1 and a 2 port fiber expansion cartridge. Need to add an ASM, can we simply replace the 2 port cartridge with a 6 port cartridge, or add another 2 or 6 port in the next slot without disrupting the programming?

replace the 2 with a 6. The other slot is only for a service card unless you have XC software.

Forgot to mention make sure you power down the system before changing the card.

You should not loose the programming.

Remember that Station modules go from bottom2top & trunks go from top2bottom. Just n case u have trunk mod now!
