0x32 system with StarTalk VM:
We have the operator calls going to x103 right now. We would like the person at x104 to get rollover operator calls or to be able to take calls when x103 is out.
we would probably prefer to have voicemails go to x103 but not essential.
What is my best solution?
1) add x103 to x104's phone so she can get calls as needed
2) add a new extension and have appear on both extensions
3) other

The problem with #1 and 2 is I am not sure how to make the call rollover if x103 is already on a call.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you know what version software?
Your options are Hunt Groups, Service Modes, Answer DN's and Call Forward Busy.... all with pro'/con's.

If your system is new enough to support HUNT GROUPS, that is a very tidy way of doing what you want.

Assign both sets to the hunt group, and have the main set forwarded to the group on busy and RNA. Lots of varients.

not sure what version it is without being @ work to check. we got the system in '96. does v1.1 sound right?

could be 1.1 if it is original from '96.

V1.1 does not have hunt groups. You might want to start off with trying an answer DN.
