Hello Everyone
I´m about to add two 146 gb scsi disks setup in raid 1 and add them as nss volume on a nw6 server and I wonder what the proper way to do this is ?

The server is a ML530 so I assume I can just insert the disks and create a raid 1 with cpqonlin for the disks.
But after that ?
Should I use consoleone´s disk management to rescan for devices and then initialize the disk and then create the nss volume from there or what ?

Be aware that some of the newer RAID controllers don't support CPQONLIN. You have to use the Array Manager (Smartstart CD).

Whether CPQONLIN works or not, the new device should become available automatically to Netware and you can setup your pools as necessary.

ok, sounds good.
Do I need to create a hotfix partition when I create the partition on the drive ?

nope
it will do it by its -self

it's an ml530 - so slap the disks in
crank up cpqonlin - create array
then no reboots or anything strange like that - just create nss partition - create pool or (s) and volume(s) and away you go
