Have exhausted current 4500 to 4599 series as DID numbers at this location and have been assigned to add new group of DID's another block of 100. I have never had to introduce a new block of numbers to system do I have to do anything to tell the system what the numbers are or will it error out not recongnizing the new DID numbers when I try to creat a new user with this DID range I have not used before?

bad news is your lost, the good news is your finished with that project.. unless you need to translate did's to dn's (ld 49) all you need to do is build a station with the new did..

All numbers are already in the PBX, all you have to do is call the phone company and order a new range of 100 DID numbers. goto LD 20 and do LUDN and just hit return until it starts printing. this will list all the DN's that you haven't used yet. look to see if you have a block of 100 that you haven't used yet and see if the phone company can give you that range. After the phone company assigns those DID's to you , all you do is put them on phones as you need them.

Well I can't be lost unfortunatly although that sounds good to me. The range that was issued I programmed that number to a key on my 2616 and it worked halfway. Only worked as I dialed it as an extension IE 4900, I also set it up on its own TNB for 2616 key oo scr 4900 and tried to call from my cell phone but got a recording you have reached a non working number. I checked ld 49 and ran a prt on icd is this something I would have to create in order to use this group of numbers in the 4900 series of DID's?

the phone company hasn't turned it on yet, that recording is from the phone company. Are they pointing it to your T1?

I will call and verify. Let me refraze that I cannot call the tele Co some other department has to. I can't explain the way things work I just have to work here. You know the drill :"Hey Computer Guy figure this out," and keep one hand tied behind your back and your office next to the basement.
