Add data to a sub-sub form (Access 2000/2003)?

I have a "main" form which incorporates a sub form (I'll call this the "primary sub form"). The sub form has pages, two of which have their own sub forms. Those two sub forms are related to a value in the primary sub form, but one of the two is only used to display data, not even permitting editing of the displayed data, and that one works fine. I need to enable the users to enter new rows of data on one of those pages' sub forms (I'll call it the details sub form). If I open the primary sub form and go to the tab page for the details sub form I can add rows of data; however, when I open the main form I can no longer add rows of data on the detail sub form, no matter what I do to the settings on the form and sub forms.

Is this a limitation of Access 2000, or does someone know of some settings that I might have missed? I'd rather not have a pop up separate form to add new details data.

Check out the link child and link master fields. You will need to edit them to show the 'primary' subform, as far as I recall.

The links are correct. The details subform is linked to the primary subform using a common column. In fact, that column is not contained in the data source for the main form.
