Hello All,

I have a question, I want to set up a new exchange server, that part I don't have a problem with, I need to know what to tell my isp, in order for them to add a mx record, do I just give them one of my externals and tell them add a mx & rmx record to it, we had a consultant do it the first time and I was not involved so I'm in the dark on that part, I did call my ISP and they were of no assitance.

It's always a PEBKAC problem.

I am going to assume that your're going to get your ISP/Host to simply us an MX forwarder? We use them here.

You simply need to give them the static external IP address being used for the mailserver.

Carlsberg don't run I.T departments, but if they did they'd probably be more fun.
