I have an NT Server with 2 IDE mirrored drives. I wanted to format a new SCSI drive NTFS and this NT box has a SCSI controller for the tape drive in it, so I plugged in the SCSI drive. NT no can find. It's there in BIOS. If I control A into the SCSI Utilities I can find it and do a low level format but neither Disk Administrator nor Partition Manager find it. Just for fun, I unplugged the IDE drives and booted up with a WIN2K setup disk, found the SCSI drive and formatted it NTFS. Plugged the IDE drives back in and NT still cann't find it. Why not? Is there some rule about mixing IDE and SCSI drives?
