I am in the process of starting my Exchange 2000 migration. Our org is very complex. I have a 5.5 server that acts as the bridgehead to our Home Office, a Exchange 2000 Gateway that houses our ADC, and a Exchange Cluster where all the mailboxes are housed.
When I start the process of upgrading, I know that I need to upgrade the front end servers first (I am assuming that is the ADC server and not the OWA Front end servers). Do I just need to upgrade the ADC or the entire server to Exchange 2003?
As a side question, I have a old Exchange 2000 server that was our ADC that died but still shows up in our Exchange org. Will that need to be deleted before I start, and if so, how do I do that?
