We now have the list of the MAC addresses that we are going to use for ADAC.

In addition to this the new Firmware release for IP phones UNISTM 2.3 allows you to change nearly all the phone settings using DHCP. This is a major forward move and we will certainly be using it!!

In case you didn't already know, if you upgrade your Ethernet Routing Switch 5520s to v5.1 software you no longer need to maintain the ADAC MAC address table. The latest release of software utilizes LLDP (802.1ab TLVs) to determine if the end device is an IP phone.

Actually you can use LLDP on 5520's & 4500's but unfortunately most of our switches are 470's hence the ADAC solution. I didn't fancy the cost of upgrading our estate (over 300 switches).
