AD Users/Comp. MMC SnapIn on Windows 2000 Pro 1

Install adminpak.msi from a W2K server - Located in %systemroot%\winnt directory - This gives the full range of AD msc snapins. I have only tested and used on PC's running W2K pro upto SP2. I cannot get it install / run sucessfully on XP Pro. Any ideas why anybody?
