I have 2 new Windows 2k3 server DC's I have just brought online in the last 2 weeks. I currently have 2 Windows 2000 dc's, and 2 Win2k3 Server dc's. In AD Sites and Services I drill down to look at the "ntds settings" on each DC. However, for some reason the 2 Win2k3 servers don't show each other on the right-side as "<automatically generated>". I have manually added the connection between the 2 servers but they refuse to replicate.

Does anybody have any ideas on why the 2 Windows 2003 servers didn't create an entry to automatically replicate?

do this on the question DCs

repadmin /kcc

kick it as many as u can until it shows up. lol

Global,

Yes, I did the steps on the link you provided. My other Windows 2000 servers can talk to the Win2k3 servers. But for some reason it us just the 2 Win2k3 servers that don't replicate.

Check your DNS. Make sure the two servers NICs only list each other and not ISP DNS. In the DNS snap in make sure you have the ISP DNS in the Forwarders tab.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark
