My main office has a DC/File Server etc..I have a branch office < 10 users..Planning to set up a file server etc at the branch..would like to connect to the main office using a Cisco ASA/Pix site to site VPN..local users will authenticate against the local DC and then the DC at the branch office will replicate once to the main office DC once a day..of course these are my ideas..

How do you guys manage your branch offices..what backup system (cheap) we can design for < 10 users apart from USB external hard drive..what are all other problems you guys have faced in managing a branch office...what are other good thoughts in design of a branch office network to main office.

Use DFS to replicate file data back to the main office, and back it up there (main office).

Plan for performance, and capacity takes care of itself. Plan for capacity, and suffer poor performance.
