Has anyone come across a problem where an ActiveX control does not work on certain machines that have Access97 installed on them ...

I have the ActiveX control on a form and 2 users out of 9 cant use the form as their version of Access cannot comprehend the ActiveX control...

Is there a solution even though Access on both machines has been reinstalled fully with the additional fixes and bugs pack added ....

Regards,

Tiny

I had trouble with the ActiveX Calendar control 9.0 a couple of months ago. I don't know if any of this will help. First make sure you have the following registered - in design view of a form, do ALT + F11 to go into VBA. Click on Tools then References. Make sure the following is checked:
Microsoft DAO 3.6 Object Library
Microsoft ActiveX Data Object 2.5 Library
Microsoft ActiveX Data Object Recordset 2.5 Library
Ole Automation
Microsoft ActiveX Plugin
Visual Basic for Applications
Microsoft Access 9.0 Object LIbrary
Microsoft Calendar Control 9.0
ACWZMAIN
Microsoft Visual Basics For Applications Extensibility 5.3

I find that I need all of these checked not only to get an ActiveX to work, but some of the controls on the Toolbox to pass data.

Also, there is a difference between the ActiveX Calendar Control 8.0 in Office 97 and the Calendar Control 9.0 in Office 2000. So if you create it in Office 2000, someone using Office 97 won't see it. I'm trying to find the technical reason - a different file name or something . If I find it, I'll send another answer. Or maybe someone out there can explain it.

But definitely put checks next to the above files.

I have found the answer to the problem .. It was the Mscomct2.ocx AxtiveX control file was not registered on the machines that could not use the Date Time Picker ..

I dont know whether this will help with your problem as I rarely use Access2000 for development ... still stuck on 97 ...
