Ok, on our network we manage aproximately 800 machines over 3 differnt remote sites on our domain. One of our main issues is installing, uninstalling, and changing default printers. Since we are a college we never know who may decide to use these machines thus the network printers are not installed if a new student or a student that has never used a machine logs into a machine. To make matters even tougher we use an application called DeepFreeze to keep these machine configured correctly as we origanally set them up. DeepFreeze does this basically by making the hard-drive read only. Once the user reboots the machine all changes are lost. Only once we unFreeze the machine can any changes actaully remain.

I have made a application that searches AD for the computer names and we tell the program what printers we want installed. Then when each client is logged into, it queries the database for its PC name and installs the associated printers using PrintUI.

What I would like to do is to have this program actually add the computers to our OU's rather than to the database. The only problem is I don't know how to add a computer to an OU via VB 6.0 nor do I know how to search a specific OU for a computer name. Can someone help me or at least point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance!!

I was somewhat hoping for a little more direction.
