Active Directory Display Columns

On my Exchange server, in Active Directory, when I add columns to the display they do not remain if I close the console. Any Idea how I can make these changes stick?

Open a MMC and the Add the ADUC snap in. You can then modify it and the save the Console to your desktop. Then use it instead of the normal ADUC. This is nice as you can also add DNS and DHCP if needed for one stop shopping.
