Hi there. I have a fully win2k/ad domain which contains mixed mode exch5.5 sp4/exch 2k sp3 servers. I configured one two way connection agreement between exchange 5.5 and active directory. I noticed that as of this morning a new connection agreement exists called ca_config_myservername. I did not create this agreement and i am unable to delete it. I set the agreement to never replicate, and a few moments later it was back to always replicate!
My problem lies in the errors reported back to the event log stating that the global catalog server is down (the new ghost connection agreement points to a server that is not a global catalog server)

What is this, where did it come from and why cant i delete it?
Also, how do I update my active directory connector with new service packs.

Hrm, ok.
The auto generated connection agreement is pointing to the wrong server for global catalog. I guess I want to just start over and create new agreements. Will that screw up my existing exchange2k server installations? Or can I just delete the connection agreements install the sp3 version of adc and creat new ones?

ok, something is set up incorrectly in the adc. None of my domain controllers have the exchange tasks option when right clicking on a user except for the domain controller running the adc and the exchange 2000 server itself.
This is pretty frustrating.
I want to just delete the agreements and start over

No you need to install the Exchange System Manager on all machines you wish to use to manage e-mail attributes of users with.

This is by design! Dan
