I have just setup my Active Directory and my ISA Server.

I connected my computer to the new Active Directory domain.
I had no problems what so ever.

Now I connected another system to the new domain. The computer logs into the domain fine, but when they go to the internet a login box appears for the ISA Server.

Why?

This doesn't happen on the first system. All the DNS settings are the same as the first system. The Active Directory account is setup the same as the first system.

Help!!!!

My company wants me to migrate everyone before Labor Day.

Hi NotSoLucky,

You haven't mentioned if there is any ISA server on the system. Anyway, unless specified in the Domain Policy, check the client machine's connection settings within the Internet Explorer. It may be pointing to a proxy server instead of the direct connection.

Are you logging on to the first machine and the second machine with the same login account? Definitely sounds like a policy somewhere that is directing IE to a proxy server.

Yes, There is an ISA server on the system.

I have no settings that indicate the machine is pointed at any proxy server on either machine.

The first machine is logging in with a different account then the second machine.

Any other ideas

Log on the second machine using the account name you used on the first machine. That should be able to tell you if it is machine related or user account related.

I tried logging into the system number 2 with the account I used to login with on system number 1.

I got the same problem

So I went back to system number 1 to look at it's configuration.

Now I am getting the same error on system number 1.

Maybe better posted in the ISA forum. I'm no ISA expert, but you may have to check the ISA policies to see what users are allowed access to the outside world. Check any logs in the ISA server. What happens when you enter a user name and password at the ISA login box?

I am going to post this in the ISA forum as well. Thank you all for your input.
