Greetings,

I have enabled active desktop on a winxp machine, and am trying to create a website that will fit my needs. I want to make a website that has a transparent backgound so the the deskopt background will show through the website that is inserted on the desktop. Is this doable?

I tried that, however it doesnt seem to be working. I know that the transparent image is working because when i load it in internet explorer it appears to work fine. But when i add it to the active desktop, all i get is a white backrgound. Any suggestions.

I thought Active Desktop was enabled in XP by default, so when you say "I have enabled active desktop on a winxp machine", you haven't inadvertently turned it off, have you?
