Act! 9 and Vista happily coexist except I can't write letters from ACT!.

The message "Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt"

Anyone had the same problem or a work round?

Paul

What version of ACT! - standard or premium?
Have you applied the latest updates to 9.0.1 and Hotfix 1
What version of Office?

Version of ACT = Single User

Version No = 9.0.0.557 + Hotfix 1

Office 2003

Many thanks
Paul

I think you should install 9.0.1 as this was released after Vista. Let me know if that doesn't help

Updated to V9.0.1.162 Hotfix 1

Same problem - can't open letters as above.

I can open reports but not print them - same message as above.

Any ideas would be gratefully received.

More Info - this problem is a known issue with the .net framework.

There is a Hotfix, which I will be installing and will update members when it burns and crashes my computer.....
and loses all my data.....

Have admitted defeat - ACT! 9 and Vista are inherently uncompatible - 'most' funtionality works - but I'm dissapointed that more is not being done to bring ACT! 9 up to date.

ACT! tech help have no answers - just - you'll have to wait for ACT! 10

Paul

Thanks Mike - I'll try that
