ACO5401e error during backup

Has anyone ever received the following error or have any idea of a resolution for "ACO5401E The Virtual Device Interface could not be created. Backup of <database> failed.
This is a SQL server database backup with 6 databases; each of which fail with this same error message. SQL 2000. No errors in the event log or the SQL log.
Please HELP!!

I'm going to answer my own post...

Found the issue resolution. Has to do with the fact that SQL 7 and SQL2000 are both running on the box.

Resolution is found in Microsoft Tek note: 280759.

Rename a couple dlls and your good to go.
