DISCLAIMER: Newbie in the house!

I have inherited an ACM and being quite new to it, would like to find out more details about it.

The Current System Information shows:

Software Load: R015x.02.1.016.4
Memory Configuration : Standard
Offer Category: A

LAST TRANSLATION LOADED INFORMATION adds one more field:

Platform: 7

So, from these, how do I decipher this?
What are my available upgrade options at the moment?

You have the latest CM5 (there is a CM6, but it's not going to get you much).

There are always new "Service Packs" comming out, a new one just came out for CM 5.2.1 (what you have), Service Pack 4.

I would recomend just keeping updated with service packs and patches, and keep what you have.

Thank you so much for the response. BTW, I already attended the Avaya Aura Communications Manager Basic Administration but I was never given access to the ACM until yesterday. Call it conspiracy and hostility. So I am just starting to put into practice what I learnt.

You say there is a new service pack that just came out for CM 5.2.1. That is service pack 4.
Where do I see this information?
If I wanted to download it, what credentials do I need to have? Seems to me that I need to have those, and they came from Avaya. Someone has not given me even a single detail about my ACM except a username/password/pin. I am therefore in murky waters even as I ask this.

If you don't mind, could you please tell me if Avaya 3631 will be able to work with this ACM? I intend to use a 3631 remotely, which means I will require a VPN to get to the ACM. I am google-ing at the moment to find a solution though.

Thanks again.

Do you have a maintenance contract with Avaya or an Avaya Authorized Business Partner?
If you do, you have a 'Sold To' number that will allow you to download firmware/software updates for your specific equipment.
You’ll need to contact Avaya or your Avaya Authorized Business Partner for that/those numbers so you can download those items from You can also download, without a 'Sold To', documentation for your equipment by going to and clicking on the left side of the webpage.
