I am running XP Pro and in my event viewer, I have system, application, security, and also now ACEEventLog. This appeared after installing a new video driver and utilities. I have since reinstalled the old driver but cannot figure out how to delete this event viewer entry called ACEEventLog. Anyone know how I can delete this from showing up in the event viewer.

Thanks

If that doesn't work - I think I've tracked down what you need to do.
Open event viewer (Start/Run/Eventvwr)
Right click the ACEEventlog and select Properties.
Confirm the actual filename
Find that file and delete it
Then...
Start/Run/Regedit
Navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Eventlog
Delete the key for the ACEEventlog

Just be careful in the registry. Any mistake can cause system instability and/or failure. Take a backup!!

A right click does not have delete as an item to delete this any item in the event viewer.

All the normal Event Log folders are found in this folder.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\config

You could check there for anything relating to ACEEventLog.

You could try in the Event Viewer to right-click on ACEEventLog and see what the Properties tell you about the logfile location. Back it up and try deleting it.

Big thanks to Dollar and linney for their suggestions as I followed both and now this item is history and I have rebooted and all is fine.

Thanks so much
