Hi,

I’ve looked through the posts in this board, but I can’t find one that addresses my problem.

One of our users needs to forward his DN to his cell phone.

I setup an ACD (2233) that is programmed to forward to his cell number. If you call ext 2233, his cell phone will ring.

However, if he forwards his set to 2233, the call will go to our attendant rather than his cell.

Any suggestions on how this can be fixed?

We have and option 11c running Succession 3.0.

Thank you for your help.
Peter.

you could try adding the route acces code in front of his cell number in the acd.

What you really need to do is programm his phone to allow cfxa. Add cls cfxa change forward key to cfw 16. No he can forward from his set. this may work unless you block external call forwarding.

there is an option under RDR_DATA in the CDB that is probably set to CFO(Call Forward Originator). Try changing that to CFF (call Forward Forwarding). This allows the forwarding set's class of service to allow the forwarding.

I agree with nortellian. Change the sets cls and cfw key. The reason acd willnot work is due to the NCOS of the DID trunk members, default is 0. you can program
Key XX cfw 12 9XXXXXXXXXX. then the user will only have to hit forward twice.

i use an acd, but i built a 6 digit npa that sends the call out a rlb to a single outgoing trunk.. the inbound route is ncos 2 so the frl of that rlb is 1.. i don't use the ffc option because it opens a few hundred other toll fraud options.. the worst is cfxa.. a user forwards to 9.. then dials his ld number and talks to mom all weekend.. if cdr captures the call,, he was home all weekend, must have been the cleaning crew.. the 1st time i did a prt tnd at this site 9 users had their phones last forward target set to 9... our ld and local code.. since the ffc was set to use the ncos of the station.. all toll was free

Why don't you have them forward their phone to the number??? WHy transfr a call to transfer it again?? Just give the use CFXA in the CLS and CFW 16 on their forward button. Then have the user activate call forward to the cell phone from the set? Think about it!!!

to call forward an extn to an ACD, the queue needs
MWI = YES in LD23

Thanks for the input.

I’ll try to clarify things a bit.

The reason I would prefer to have the user forward to an ACD “Q” that then forwards to his cell is security. The set is out in the open (Rather than in a office) and I don’t want someone to forward the phone to their home & accept collect calls from the four corners of the earth.

That being said, I did test the set by adding CFXA to the CLS and setting the forward button to CFW 16. When I did this, calls to his DN from inside the building did go to his cell. Unfortunately, calls placed to his DID instead go to VM.

I suspect that we are indeed blocking external call forwarding, but I’m a lowly IS Tech and I don’t have the training to make some of the changes suggested here. I’m fine with MAC’s and a bit of ACD stuff, but I leave the deeper stuff to our Service Provider.

Thanks again for the help.

Peter.
