Hi

Could anyone let me know why accounts are getting locked out. I ask the users whether they may have exceeded their failed logins but they insist not. Is there any other reasons they may get locked out?

Thanks

This is a shot in the dark but something like that happened to one of my collegues. It turned out that he kept moving his pc date forward to do some testing but forgetting to switch it back and when he rebooted he would be asked for a new password.

On the NT servers.

It will show that Bill tried to log on with incorrect credentials etc. It should help you determine whether someone is at it or you have a shoal of goldfish working at your company [LOL]

One cause of this is if there is a machine somewhere logged in as Bill, bill then logs on elsewhere and changes his password then this will lock the account.

Post back with the results and we'll help some more.

Found the problem. The guys account was being used on another PC and he had changed his password. Cheers for the help.
