Account locked out for notification

On an NT-server with arcserve 7, I have a problem with the print notification. The account for arcserve is locked out. Sometimes it takes a week and sometimes it takes 2 dayes before it's locked out. The backup job however keeps running and doesn't give any errors. the password for the system account has been changed recently, but I've checked all of them.

I haven't got a clue what it could be.

Did you check the service/impersonation account you setup in the alert manager (alert.exe) - this is different from the ARCserve system account and not sync'd with the information in server admin.
