Account disabled error

I have a single Windows 2000 active directory domain with 7 DC's. When I try to log on to any of the servers in the domain (at the server console) I often get an 'account disabled' error. After a while I try again and it works fine. I am the sysadmin and when I look at my user account the account is not disabled. This behaviour is random ie. it will work fine for a time then the error occurs.
Has anyone seen anything similar ?
