Has anybody accessing Web Service Without Proxy Class using the HttpWebRequest class and making a direct request.

why would u want to do that? becuase if u dont use proxy classes then u will have to build the SOAP xml on ur own, which can be very cumbersome...

Known is handfull, Unknown is worldfull

I am testing my own web services.

1) I personnaly want to see it done.
2) I can't be sure who will be consuming my webservice, and I want to make sure at this can be done at a raw level.
3) I'm using WSE and I want to make sure the people without WSE can still add necessary security info to the header and make calls.

I have XML Examples so I know exacty what the request should look like. I could even pull in this info from a file.

If I were consuming someone else's web service using .Net I would never do this.
