Accessing the http headers returned by the server

Hi Guys

I'm trying to find a way of accessing the entire set of http headers received by the browser from the server. This is because I suspect that a proxy server in-situ is stripping certain params so I just want to ensure that what is leaving the server is exactly the same as that being received by the browser. Any ideas as to how I can do this from JavaScript or even, dare I say it, from VBScript?
