Hello Everybody,

the network I'm working with is operated with a W2K Server, which is not located close to my work-desk. So usually I am accessing the Server through Terminal Services with my Windows XP client. I have full administrative rights but am unable to open the energy options of the Server with Terminal Services.

Is this generally not working? Is it a XP - W2K Server problem?

Any help or suggestions are welcome - thanks in advance!

Stephanie

Try installing TightVNC and see how you like that. It's a freebie on the net, and is great for remote admins. (You can have multiple users working on the box at the same time, and you can see what each other is doing. I was working on a server once, and a friend in Peurto Rico was working on it with me. The server was in a different town, and we just opened notepad and typed messages to each other while we worked on it.)

Hello Glen,

I am sorry but I have to work with Terminal Services. We are not supposed to install any software unless they are "offical".

Anyway, I tried TightVNC on my home network an can do anything with it - but not change the energy options. If I logon to the Server directly I can change them.

Any other idea?

Stephanie
