I have a wierd situation on my home PC and I hope someone here can shed some light on it's resolution.
I have installed Norton Internet Security 2005. When I log onto the PC under my profile I can't acces my POP email account at ntlworld. The strange part is, if I log onto the PC under my wife's profile, I can access my ntlworld email.
Norton help has failed to fix this (it's taken a month so far). In fact, last night they made it worse. I uninstalled NIS, checked Outlook to make sure it could then link to my ntlworld email account (it could) then went to my gmail account (which I was using as I couldn't use ntl) only to find that now appeared as a blank screen in the browser (so presumably, if I choose to ditch NIS for something else I then won't be able to access my gmail account - great!) Strangely, I could access gmail under my wife's profile! (Sounds familiar).
Having reinstalled NIS as instructed I'm back to where I was (access to gmail but not ntl).
Anyway, those are the facts. So I was wondering if anyone has any ideas as to how to solve this. It's driving me nuts!
Thanks in advance,
Flybridge
