can anyone help me in getting into Partner Mail R 1.8 through my PC ? there is a com port in the back can i access that with a certain software ? thanks

Accessing Partner Mail R1.8 with a PC

Why do you want to access your Mail thru the RS-232 port? That connection is primarily for troubleshooting, defaulting and/or printing off configuration information - it is not for programming. If you want to connect - you need to connect via a COM1 serial port from your PC to the 9-pin serial port on the back of the Partner Mail. You also will need to use a Null Modem in between the PC - Partner Mail connection. Then use Hyperterminal or similar modem software to connect via the COM port with settings at 1200 baud, 8 data, 1 stop, no parity, Xon/Xoff
