Accessing Global Address List (GAL) offline

Hello all, I have a remote user who need access to the Global Address List (GAL). He gets mail via POP3 with the Outlook 2003 mail client. I have seen how to export the GAL in older versions of Outlook, but don't see any referencing Exchange Server 2003. Any suggestions on the best way to handle this?

I'm having a similar problem with POP3, email works fine when you know the address of the receipient but the GAL does not show and the error indicates to ensure a valid user name and password is entered in LDAP configuration menu. I know I used the correct u/n & p/w. BTW the account being used also has administrative rights throughout the domain. Online research has limited info, help.
