Hi, I have a great problem.
I need to configure my Windows98 clients to access components installed at COM+ (Windows2000 Server).
I exported the application, where the components is installed, to an application proxy. After, I installed the msi file at the client.
The problem is that when the component is created in an Visual Basic application, at the client, happen an error (number 462). The error is: "the remote server machine doesn't exist or is unavailable". I tested with a Windows2000 client and the bug doesn't happen.
The network is an Novell.
What, Do I need to do to resolse this problem?

Thank's Nandov..

Hi Nandov, I have a similar problem but the client OS was WinNT 4.

The following link contains a fix that maybe help you, I installed it and the clients can work with the application.

The problem happens because the installer don't write some keys to the registry.

I hope this help you resolve your problem.

Cheers,
Roberto.
