I have a client logging into Accpac 5.4 using remote desktop connection only those with admin rights are able to access Accpac other users are getting an error mesage 'Memory cannot write' when trying to open Accpac.Anybody with a quick response please?

You're the first person to ever report "Memory cannot write". What does your Accpac business partner say about this?

That I should give rights to all Accpac folders and i have actually done so with Site

Are you sure the exact message is "memory cannot write"?

Here is how the error message reads
The instruction at "0x1d355fe"referenced memory at "0x0041884f"The memory could not be "written".

When does the error occur?
When they login?
When they print?
When they post?

Have you logged in with admin rights and run REGACC?

Is the Terminal Server 2003? Try turning Data Execution Prevention (DEP) to essential Windows programs only.

It occurs as the users are logging in
Where do i get the Data Execution Prevention(DEP)

I have Changed the DEP but the problem persists

Try running WSSETUP\Setup.Exe from Add-remove Programs instead of just clicking on it.

I actually run the system manager from Add Remove Programs and it didnt help

Then you've got a crappy server, or some other program like your antivirus is getting in the way. You don't get these kinds of errors on a clean server.

I have McAfee Antivirus could this be the issue
