Accessign a MSAccess form takes a long time

We have HUGE DB on our server, with tons of forms etc... Citrix is pretty good/fast on most of the forms however some of them are intermittently slow loading from remote desktops. Initially we thought that the SQL queries were lengthy, so we removed the lengthy ones completely as a benchmark test to see if the load time would be faster, and still it took about 20 seconds to load compared to 2-5 seconds on most forms.

Also I tried this with Microsoft's Remote Desktop App and the problem persists.

Any suggestions? Benchmark tools I can use?
