Hi there

I'm picking up a database that someone else had control of
and they split the table from the forms, queries etc. Now I cant get hold off the old user and need to find the original tables database .mdb I've got access to the Forms Queries etc .mdb file but obviuosly i need the tables database so as i can back it up each day this has all been done on a network. All other users use and MDE file. Is there away of tracing where the tables database is by using the Forms, Queries etc database.

Cheers I hope you have a clue what I'm talking about as I'm pretty new to this side of things

Hi

Look under tools + add ins and see if you have got linked table manager. That will tell you where the tables are.

Hope this helps

I've tried this but tells me that there are know tables linked. Does it matter which copy of the Forms, Queries etc .mdb file i look at to get it to tell me where the tables are for it.
