ACCESS2000 & NTFS PROBLEM

We are running Small Business Server and we have a access2000 database which we need to have multiple users access at the same time. This works great on Fat32, but when we put the same file on our Server we are having "ownership" problems. Our users are all part of the same security group. The security group has full access to the file. When multiple users of the security group have the file open, everyone can access it. When the last user closes the file, that user obtains ownership of the file and replaces the security group of the NTFS security setting. Then only that user can access the file until we reset the security settings for the file. How can we prevent this problem and/or does anyone have a workaround? We have to close the file for maintenance in the evenings, so leaving it open is not an option. Thanks.
