Hi all,

I'm fairly new to access and just installed version 97 on
my sytstem.

Quick question:
Does Access 97 (office 97) have a visual basic editor
under the Tools > Macro pulldown menu? On Word 97 and
Excel 97 the vb editor is there under the menu. You can
also get to it by pressing Alt+F11.

If the vb editor is unavailable, how would I record
and/or edit my own custom macros?

Thanks in advance for the help. Peace!

Bad news, no record macro option in Access

Check out the macros tab and you will see that there is a series of items that you can select form a list and set the properties.

These macros are not as fast as VB but earier to learn. Once you have the macro working you can convert to VB by selecting the macro and Tools, macros, convert to VB
