Hi all,

I have been using NT 4.0 Terminal server with Servie pack 6.0 loaded onto it.

Its been connected to a lot many number of Network printers and is servicing the printer service also.

Recently I got a problem, whenever a user fires a print job, the system hangs with the error message

"Access violation in spoolss.exe"

When I checked the Microsoft support it was told that the latest service pack should be applied. But I have the latest service pack for Terminal server is installed, but still getting the error.

Any remedy please?

What's the printer?

NT4 TSE is very limited indeed in its printer support - and some supported drivers can not only cause this issue, but blue-screen the server, IME.

Citrix provide a file called wtsuprn.inf - and I'm pretty sure there's an ntprint.inf of something similar with TSE (can't remember, it's been ages). Anyway, the jist is that this file simply maps the printer driver name on the client with that on the server.

Hope this is along the right lines CitrixEngineer@yahoo.co.uk
