Ok, this is probably a really simple question for most... but it's driving me nuts!

I need Access 2000 to treat a number field as straight text, so it doesn't drop zeros or round up or down numbers. For example, if I currently enter in "160.55", it will pull in to my webpage as "160.5", or if I fool with the settings at all it'll round up to "161". I've tried just about everthing in the table design that I can think of.

I'm using this table as a pricing matrix, and I'm formatting the number (i.e. putting in the '$') in the webpage code. All I want Access to do is to store the number and spit it out as just as it's entered in--with zeros on the end! I don't need it to do any formatting. Any help is appreciated!

thanks,
Brian

It may sound stupid, but I have to ask this to make sure. Have you tried using a "text" field. If all you want is storing the numbers as they are you don't need a "number" field.

Yea, I did try that... and it didn't work. But I just tried it again to be sure, and it did! I don't know what you did, but it worked from afar! :)
