Have a need to find out how to open Toshiba case to install new clock battery. Any leads appreciated. Manuals, anyone?

Replacement instructions should be included with your new battery. If not, I suggest you try to contact Toshiba. Since that procedure most likely involves actually opening the laptop, you won't find it in a user's manual most likely. And Toshiba may simply tell you to take the laptop to an authorized repair center, although they might be more willing to help since that model is a now quite old and outdated one and isn't warrantied any longer.

It's been my experience with many of those older laptops that the RTC battery was accessible via one of the panels on the underside of the laptop, and didn't require full disassembly to reach. Some of them actually had the battery underneath the RAM module, while others had it in the HDD bay or other odd places. You might try simply removing all of the covers and looking for yourself - just might hit paydirt.

I did find a PDF that details the Satellite 100cs, but not the 105. Unfortunately while it DOES mention the RTC battery, replacement instructions aren't a part of that document. If you're interested, it's at
