Access shuts down when opening query..

I'm not proficient in Access, so perhaps I might be missing something that's right in front of me. I created a query that ran correctly, and then created a report based on that query. When I attempted to open the report in preview mode, Access closed. Now whenever I try to run any of the queries associated with the query or report, Access closes immediately. No errors are displayed. Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Have you tried to compact/repair the database ?

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, I did compact and repair but unfortunately that didn't fix the problem.

I was having the same issue and after starting a new database, compact & Repairing, and decompiling I found none of these worked. I narrowed it down to the query that was causing it. I think it was due to it being a complex query. Once I simplified the query it started working fine. I was able to get the same results with a bit of tweaking.
