I have two computers.
Computer 1 - XP Home
Workgroup - Homenet
10.5.100.1 255.255.0.0

Computer 2 - XP Pro
Domain - D1
10.5.100.2 255.255.0.0

I have a folder shared on each machine. Access is full access to Everyone. I can ping each machine from the other. I have all firewalls/security turned off.
I have NetBios enabled on both machines.
I have File sharing enabled on both machines.

I can see each network through the network neighborhood, but I cannot see or access the file shares.

This should be simple, but I cannot determine what else I should be looking for.

Can someone offer some advice.

Thanks.

Some anti virus software have hidden firewall components which may interfere with any access. Disabling a Firewall does not prevent the current settings from remaining active in the Registry and elsewhere. To thoroughly eliminate the Firewall as a cause you may have to uninstall it.

Have you tried "Safe Mode with Networking"?

Anything showing up in the Event Viewer, especially the Security Logs where they apply to logins?

If the users and passwords are not replicated on both machines then you might have to enable the Guest account.

There are also several Group Policies which can prevent access from the Network.
