I realize this problem may be out there, but I am desperate at this point.

I created an Access 2000 database, which runs fine on my computer, but when I load the DB to a shared network drive, it takes several minutes for the DB to load. Now, this might not seem so strange, EXCEPT it runs without a noticeable slowdown on my co-workers PC's, which are virtually identical to mine. Well, after looking into this problem for the past few days, I have compiled the following list of facts:

* I have two versions of NT installed (SP 6 and 6a). SP6 is virgin and only has Access and a few other programs installed. My DB runs just fine on the "clean" NT install.

* I had compared various drivers and found my ODBC drivers under the "non-clean" NT install were slightly newer than the clean NT and my co-workers had the older ODBC drivers as well. I did try to load all but a couple of the old ones without success.

* Again, the setup of my PC is virtually identical to that of my co-workers: same network adaptor, CPU, memory, etc, and the programs etc are also virtually identical.

There are some other things that I consider less minor that I have looked into as well, so if there are any other information I can provide, let me know because I am at my wits end and no closer to a solution.

Thanks and Regards,

--Dan
